Hump Day

Well, we have made it half way threw the week! Hurray. It is hot, hot, and hotter. It is hard to do anything but stay inside as much as possible when it is like this. We would like to do something this weekend but can't decide what. Too hot to do anything but go to the pool I guess.

I will definitely get up early to do the lawns Saturday, too hot to do it after about 6:00 am. I am just trying to keep enough water on everything to make sure it doesn't die at this point. So far so good but it is a full time job. I usually get up at 4:00 am when Cliff leaves for work and water. It's kind of enjoyable as it is only about 90 degrees at that time of day; so I can stand to be outside with a nice cup of coffee. I also did a little laundry and petted the dog. It seems like neither Cliff nor I have any energy to do anything but what's necessary. Old age and the heat!!

So Ghost Hunter's is on tonight, hope it is a new episode and not the same old stuff. They have started a paranormal society here in Mesquite and I think that we should join it. It would be fun to go out and help investigate supposed hauntings. So maybe we will. It would be fun this winter to have something to do. I think Clifford is thinking about it.

I am making a roast pork loin with dressing for dinner tonight. Hope Cheyenne will eat it. Her mother feeds her so much junk , it's hard to find real healthy food she will eat. Cliff is good though he puts the smack down on her little butt.

Hooray for the Weekend

Well, we made it threw another week, barley.

Cliff got the lawn mower fixed this morning. While we we in Colorado last weekend Cliff's Dad gave us a motor for a lawn mower and so Cliff changed them out this morning and if works perfectly. Plus, the motor Cliff Sr gave us is a Honda, much more powerful than the John Deere we had. It is pretty funny how it drags me around the yard. On the mower there is rabbit speed and turtle speed, and it means rabbit or turtle! There is no lazy rabbit or energetic turtle. Just fast as hell or creepy slow. I don't have the patience to go the turtle speed so off I go loping around the yard. Pretty funny I'm sure. I was about 3/4 done when Cliff got finished with the leaf blower and took pity on me and finished mowing. By the time we started it was too hot, I thought I was gonna pass out.

I came in and fixed Cliff some bacon and eggs (Cheyenne and I had already had cereal) and now we are getting ready to go to the pool and take Cheyenne swimming. She woke up so excited because she gets to go swimming and bowling in the same day. Ah, to be a kid again. Cliff and I both would love to just chill out today, we had a hard week, but our parenting duties call!!

Tomorrow is the Brickyard race at Indianapolis. Should be good. I think I will make a big pan of chicken & green chili enchiladas. Go Jeffery.

Oh, by the way, for Cliff's birthday I got him plane tickets to Texas and tickets to the race at Texas Motor Speedway. It's actually what I wanted for my birthday so I got it for him, we will share the present!! Is that bad?

Hell Week

Is there a full moon? This has been the craziest week. Teddi wrecked her car a few days ago (she is fine-she rear ended another vehicle no one hurt and only minor damage to both cars.) Now she has the drama of trying to get it fixed. I am going to let them borrow my Durango for a few days but the air conditioning is out and I haven't taken the time to take it up and get it fixed as we rarely use it ,so that will be miserable for them. Then the air conditioning went out on Cliff's work truck so he has been taking my car to Vegas. Then the transmission went out in Leonard's Tahoe and I had to drive a truck and trailer down to the Air Force Base and pick him, Cliff and Josh up along with the truck and then we came back to get it fixed.

Then Gordy got sick and has a bad rash they think might be strep so Cha had to take her to the doctor and close her office as the girl that works with her has been off for two weeks because her mother in law had a stroke and is in the hospital in Salt Lake and her father in law had a heart attach and is in the hospital in Beaver Utah.

Now Cheyenne is throwing up all over at my work and the poor little thing doo dooed on herself and I had to take her home and bath and clean her up.(she was too sick to go to the sitter so I brought her to work with me and she lay on a blanket, played on the computer, and colored)

In the middle of all that, it is billing week at work when I am sooooooooooooo busy and stressed, plus our general liability insurance expires on Monday so I have that bid out and all the insurance agents are showing up with their quotes and I have to pretend to give a shit about that! I am about to pull my hair out.

I think I need a cold adult beverage of some kind.

Big Daddy's Birthday

Well, here is Big Daddy with his "too old to count" birthday cake. My poor sweetheart was bemoaning his fate at turning the tragic age of 38 so I got him an old folks candle for his cake. It was so funny. I told him "Does this mean in a couple years I will have to sleep with a 40 year old man?" He said" I guess, unless you trade me in for a younger model." Now you can see why THAT will never happen. He is so sweet to me he didn't even bring up that he was already sleeping with a 56 year old woman. This is absolutely the man of my dreams, he has definitely achieved "pimp status".
Nothing like boobs and steak for your birthday. The question is "whose boobs are they?" Mystery Boobs!!!!!!!!!
The girls went swimming in their pool and then went cruising in the Barbie car for hours during Big Dad's party. They are so damn cute. Cheyenne drove them all around the yard. Every once in awhile Gabbi would get out and try to push the car. Then Cheyenne would take off and poor little Gordy would have to run to stay up with the Barbie mobile. They had so much fun.
The bathing beauties . They love this pool so much. It is so nice because we can fill it just full enough that Gordy can still swim without her head going under. The sides are soft so it's easy for them to climb in and out without hurting their little butts. They are always naked so a soft side is mandatory. Poor little Cheyenne is too old for "naked time" so she is stuck with a bathing suit.
We cooked steaks and had oyster shooters . That is about Cliff's favorite meal. I hate shucking oysters so I made the guys do it. They didn't mind too much as they had lemons and hot sauce on hand and ate as they shucked.
Watching the babies swim. Tony jumped in not long after this picture and slipped and sprained his ankle. Charlee ended up taking him to the hospital to have it xrayed because it was swelling so bad. They stopped back by and got a piece of birthday cake to eat at home. Tony, the drama king, had a bootee on and was limping around. He is so damn cute!!!!

Big Boy Birthday

Today is my son Toby's 33rd birthday. He was born when I was 6 years old (HA). He is the most wonderful son a mother could ask for and I love him very much. My girls thought it was funny that I bought him a birthday gift of salt and pepper. I had to explain that it was gourmet sea salt and numerous varieties of gourmet peppercorns including Ponepei peppercorns which are arguably the finest peppercorns in the world. If you have never used them you must try them. I get them online. They are crazy expensive and I warn you once you have used them it's hard to eat any other kind of pepper (if you are a pepper fan).

He loved the gift as he is a gourmet cook. I mean he can cook like none other, He is innovative and creative and the food tastes as good as it looks. I always love to see what he is cooking when we are lucky enough for him to cook because it will be original. He makes up his own recipes like "Hotter than Hell Chili: and they are fabulous. But beware they are usually work as you have to hand roast 3 or 4 different kinds of peppers etc. Worth it in the end!!

So happy birthday Son. I am so proud of you and love you loads!!!Big Daddy says "Happy Birthday Dude, what's up?"

Birthday's Galore

Well this week was Sami's birthday and Anthony's Birthday . We had a party last Sunday for little Anthony who turned 11 and then on Wednesday night we has a little party for Sami who turned 15.Oh to be young again. Both parties were fun with cake and food and all the stuff. As you can see Sami's birthday had a tropical theme. The girls walked around town in their hula skirts all day and then we went to see Annie at Tuhacan that night. They play was great and they had fun. It was so hot and I was "glistening" like a pig. I was soaked with sweat by the time we got home. I took a bath and went to bed with wet hair cause I couldn't stand to be yucky.
This is our sweet Gordy putting on her pretty flowers
Of course if you have a birthday at our house you always have to "bite it" Sami was still picking blueberries off her eyelashes during the play. As you can see the cakes really get the worst of it.
Gordy was dancing with her flowers. She gets so excited at the parties. What a sweet baby. She is so much fun and growing so fast
Big Daddy watching the festivities and throwing back a cold one. Alecia, texting as usual. Put down the phone and step away Alecia and no one gets hurt!!
Anthony's cake was a #88 Dale Jr cake. He is a big fan and so we had to make it a Nascar Day.
The boys were being boys and having fun. They get along real well and that makes it nice. They are both good boys and we enjoy them a lot.
Here is Anthony's big "bite it" moment. It was so funny cause Tony is a Jeff Gordon fan and Anthony is a Dale Jr fan and they both talk mad smack about the others driver. So when Anthony started to bite it Tony and some of the other boys at the party pushed Anthony's head into the cake (as usual). It just happened that it knocked the #88 car over on it's side and Toby was all "I flipped your car man, Dale Jr is a fag and Jeff Gordon rules, etc, etc. It was so funny. Always competitive no matter what. Anthony was a good sport about it and plans to get Tony back on race day.

We leave this afternoon to take the big girls back to CO and pick up Cheyenne. I will sure miss my Alecia. We will get to see her again when we take Cheyenne home in August but then it will probably be Christmas before we see her again. Drats!!

Hot Hot Hot

Well summer is finally here with a vengeance. It has been 115 degrees all week. I really do not see how Cliff and Leonard work out in it. And inside a building with a metal roof on top of that. It must be 135 degrees inside that thing. What those poor boys do for their families. I am just thankful they are working for awhile unlike most of the world these days.

Today is little Sami, Alecia's friend's, birthday. She is 15 today. What an age. Those girls giggle and giggle and giggle and text and text and text. We are taking them home Friday night and I sure will miss them. They have been a lot of fun. Alecia is learning to drive and has her learners permit. We have taken her out driving a couple times this week and it about scared me to death. She does pretty good then freaks out and is all over the place. That's right PECIA "scared me to death" (HA). After more practice I know she will master driving as she does everything else.

Tonight we are going to Tuachan Amphitheatre in St George to see "ANNIE" for Sami's birthday and I told Alecia we can take the old road and she can drive. That should be interesting. When we took Alecia out driving on the interstate when she got up to 75 she stopped breathing and her Dad had to tell her to relax and breathe but she said she had her butt cheeks clenched together. I imagine I will have my butt cheeks clenched together on the ride tonight!!!

The girls laid out in the sun for a few hours yesterday and now Alecia is burned. She was moaning and groaning last night. I think it is a little better this morning. They are so funny. They have been here all summer and didn't lay out once but now they are leaving, they are trying to get a tan before they go back to Grand Junction. Ah the young.

Raise your eyebrows

Here are my new eyebrows. I had them tattooed on today and I LOVE them. She did such a good job for only $80.00. The last time I got them done 10 years ago, I paid $350.00. And she only charges $20.00 for touch ups. I have no eyebrows so I spend all my time trying to keep pencil on them. In this heat it's a job; now no problem. It stung a little and made my nose run but that' about it. Oh yeah, they bled a little.

Charlee, Alecia, and Sami went with me. Cha had to translate cause the women didn't speak English. It was pretty funny. Sami wanted to see how they did tattoos, so now she knows. There was also a women there getting her lips done. Brother that looked like it hurt, but it looked really nice. I may get my eyeliner done next month when she comes back, we'll see!!

Half Rack

The girls wanted to get a HOOTERS shirt before they went back to "boring old Colorado" so we took them to Sunset Station to HOOTERS and got them tee shirts. Cliff teased them and said that I have a full rack but they only have half racks. They were so cute so I had to post their pictures in their HOOTER shirts. Sami seems pretty confident that her Mom will not disapprove however Alecia knows full well she has her hands full as her mother still thinks she is about 5 years old. I told her to tell her Mom that she wanted the shirt cause she likes"fuzzy owls with big ole eyes" Maybe she can get away with that!!!HA
Yes, as you can see they are following in Big Mama's footsteps. A tight tee shirt with jeans and CFM high heels. That's the ticket.

It has been a busy week so we are glad for the weekend. I ruined our lawn mower by hitting something in the back behind the fence. As soon as I told Cliff he said "you were mowing behind the fence weren't you?" He has my number. I am so mad at myself because it was such a good lawn mower and now it's ruined. I hate to spend $300 on a dumb lawn mower but I only have myself to blame. So we are going to take a trip to St George today and look at lawn mowers and also get a doggy door for Digger.

We have to move him and his food inside the laundry room. The birds come in under the carport and eat his food. I would not care but they leave their little bird doodoo all over everything (including his food) and it can't be healthy so we are going to move it all inside the laundry room. hopefully the birds are not smart enough to use the doggy door. If so I am sure Cliff will do as he has threatened and get his pellet gun out. Poor birdies.

I am going to get my eyebrows tattooed on in about a half hour. I can't wait I have had it done before and they fade over time and so I am getting them done again. So have to run!!!

Happy 4th of July America

Here is my gang on the 4th of July. We were sitting out in front of the Tropicana in Laughlin, NV. They had a great fireworks show (we decided to forgo the Mesquite 4 minutes of furry for the Rockets over the River 1/2 hour; from what I hear it was a good choice)and we had a really nice weekend. We spent some time on the river walk and played in the pool with the kids. Charlee and I took the kids to dinner and shopping while the boys watched the race in Daytona. It about killed me to do the MOM thing instead of sitting in the bar talking race smack with Big D but I had my "sponsibilities" We did have a good time and Charlee drove us on a sightseeing tour which was nice. We had a so-so dinner at Perkins but there was a guy making incredible balloon animals and he made things for the kids that were fun. An airplane for Tony, a motorcycle for Anthony, a squirrel for Alecia, a monkey for Gordy, and a butterfly for Sami. It was fun for them. Then back to the fireworks after which Big D said I had "done my time" at the Mama-Grannie post and we were going honky tonkin.

The Mexicans left to come home and we went casino hopping and watched the freaks for awhile then back to bed. We came home on Sunday and just chilled out for the rest of the day. I made some spaghetti for supper and then Cliff and I worked on plans & bids for awhile. All in all, it was a nice 4th of July
Charlee Leo and Baby Gabbi watching the fireworks. Gabbi was fine as long as we left her in the stroller. I quess it was her security. She was so funny when you asked her about the fireworks she would put her arms up and open and close her hands like they were exploding. She is so sweet. She is a water baby and loved the pool
Big Daddy and Big Mama swimming with the little fishy.
Sami and Big Daddy lounging in front of the cabana we rented. I thought we better have some shade for Gabbi and we were glad we got it. It had chairs and a fan, even a little fridge for water etc. The down side was Sami and Alecia spent the whole day inside texting on their phones. Big D said that's it for them. He said they can stay home and text and it won't cost him so much HA
The Mexican posing as some sort of tropical smoked fish?
The Mexicans with Tony trying to look like a "badass" Oh the teenage years
Miss Charlee Ann
Gabbi before we got her a swim diaper. Her diaper was so big we thought it would explode. It weighed her down and she was like a doodle bug or something.

Alecia and Sweetness.

Wild Week

My sweet girls at Charlee's Birthday Party. They had so much fun in their little pool. They were like sweet, slippery fishes. Everything Olivia did Gabrielle had to mimic! So cute!

This has been such a busy week. Seems like I have had to catch up on every front. The house was filthy and had to be scrubbed top to bottom, laundry up the wazoo, change the beds, try to keep water on all the plants because it was so hot, not to mention I had to get my nails done, a pedicure, go shopping, and tan every day. What's a girl to do?

The one thing I didn't get done was the lawns. I broke the lawn mower and the trimmer last weekend and Cliff hasn't had time to fix them yet so my yards look like crap, but oh well. We are going to Laughlin for the weekend to see the "Rockets Over the River" fireworks show and chill out on the river. Hopefully the girls will have a good time as they have been stuck in the house all week. We did go to St George shopping and to dinner last night and that was fun. I bought a new swim suit. God I am so fat and yucky I can't stand it. I paid $144.00 for a suit and cover up. It looks as cute as I can look in a swim suit but I am certainly not bragging about it. I'm sure I will post a photo when we get back and I will be displayed in all my glory.

The kids can't afford to go and stay the weekend but they may get up early and drive down on Sat for the fireworks, I hope so I want to see the babies. Teddi said they probably won't come cause they are dead broke after the Idaho trip but we will see.
