Doctor Drama

Well I did go to the Dr but he didn't lance what I thought was a boil. He said it was a Epidermoid Cyst and had to actually be free from infection and swelling before he could excise it. Nothing dangerous or of much consequence, just something to make me more nuts than I am. So I have to take yet another round of antibiotics and wait. I have another appointment on May 26th and if the swelling is gone he will do it then. He was a real nice older man and I liked him cause he said, and I quote, " If I cut into that sucker now, I promise you it will bleed like hell." Now that I understand!!! So it just itches and kind of makes my neck stiff but other than that no big deal. I did learn a lot about cysts and now I think I have a couple of Lipomas Cysts in my butt. These are fatty cysts that have a firm, rubbery consistency. That's my excuse for a big butt, what do ya think??????

My poor Clifford woke up about 3:00 this morning sick as a dog with a bad headache and a stiff neck. There has been a flu bug going around here (Not the Swine Flu) and I think he caught it. We were all sick last week but now he finally got it. Poor baby. So I will go home for lunch and baby him a bit. I think we are both just tired from too much company and running around. We are going to rest from now until we leave on the 9th of May. It will be a very hectic two weeks as we go to Grand Junction for 4 days for Traci's graduation and then back here for two days and then we leave on the 15th for Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Gettysburg. I hope we have time to run over to Winchester, VA for an afternoon to see Patsy Cline's birthplace, I would love that!!

He Did IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can see, Big Daddy moved the race car!!!!!I was so excited. Leo, Tony, and Anthony came over and helped him do it. It really only took about a half hour and it is so fabulous. Now I finally have my patio. It's funny cause we actually have a screened porch behind the house, but Cliff is using that as a shop so I made the carport into a patio and I love it. It's where we always sat for a smoking porch anyway. I bought some patio furniture and now, a lovely space. Finally, we look like rednecks from Alabama instead of Arkansas!!HA

I go to get my boil lanced today(hopefully). I am sick of it. I also have a nail appointment today so I should be in fighting form by the end of the day. By the time I get home I', sure the last thing I will want to do is cook, so I see Chinese in Clifford's future!!!

Busy, Busy

Well, it has been such a hectic week. First of all I was sick part of the week with a kind of weird flu. I really felt sick on Wednesday night then just felt very crappy on Thursday. That coupled with the fact that I have a boil on my neck is driving me nuts. I have battled this dumb boil for 2 years over and over. I am going to have it lanced tomorrow and maybe that will do it. Brother!!!!!You would think modern medicine could cure something this simple. I 'm actually sure they can if I could find a doctor who wasn't the biggest retard on the planet. I HATE going to the doctor because they act like they have no clue as to anything other than how to bill you.

Mom and Dad came last week and spent the week. It was sure nice to see them. I felt so sick that we didn't do much but it was nice to see them. Then more and more family started arriving for the weekend. My sister Diane and her extended family, Jan, Chloe, Lindy, Skye and Chancy. Charlee Ann and I had everyone over for lunch on Saturday and Ron, Sharon, and Megan came too. It was really fun to see everyone. We ate on the patio and the kids played in the yard. They ran Oli's Barbie mustang until the battery ran down. It was a big hit. They drove that thing all over the yard until it made me tired. Later in the day Diane had a barbecue at the park to welcome her son Issac and her daughter Ashley home from their missions. We went down for a few minutes but my neck was hurting so bad from the dumb boil we didn't stay long.

Sunday morning I got up and felt a bit better so I cleaned the house and got ready for Cliff to come home. He had gone to Laughlin with the Mexican to the River Run for the weekend. When I knew all those people were going to be in town, I told him you boys better run for the river!!. They really had a great time. Leo's dad and some friends met them there and it sounds like quite a party. I got a cool shirt out of it so, sweet!! I think we are all going to try to go next year.

I was so excited that Sunday was the race in Talledega I could hardly stand it. It is my favorite track and I LOVE watching them race there. It is the track that Cliff and I spent our honeymoon at (Only then we didn't know it was our honeymoon when it was happening ,we just thought it was a cool trip HA) But just 4 laps into the frigging race they have the big one and take out about half the field and of course Gordon is right in the middle of it. I was so pissed off I could hardly stand it. Cliff wasn't home yet but was listening to it on satellite radio in the car when I called him. I just had a hissy fit that I am sure he thought was funny. It sucked so bad that I am still disappointed. Anyway, they got Gordon back out but not till he was 55 laps down. At least he finished the race and was only 5 points back from first place in points. The rest of the race was OK but not what I had waited for months to see. The last lap was nuts with 4 cars scrambling for the win when Carl Edwards got sideways and flipped and hit the fence at 200 miles an hours, pretty spectacular. A rookie won and Big Daddy just shook his head cause Dale Jr took second (you go little Mexican boy)

Fab Weekend

Well, we had a wonderful weekend. Alecia flew in for the wedding(which by now everyone knows was cancelled due to cold feet by the bride and groom)but instead we had a big birthday party for Alecia & Teddi. Alecia turned 15 and Teddi turned 24. Alecia and I went shopping on Friday and she bought some new shirts and pants with her birthday money. She said that money was burning such a hole in her pocket that she almost bought some $2.00 potato chips on the plane just to spend some of it. Now that's the shopping fever! We had a wonderful lunch at the Olive Garden and just did girl stuff. When Cliff got home from work we opened her presents, a new flat iron for her hair, a new shirt, 3 movies, and a HaraJuku Lovers purse by Gwen Stephani . Later that night we went to Chinese with the Mexicans and had a nice dinner.

Saturday ,Teddi, Marty and Oli came out and we cooked dutch oven chicken and potatoes, salad, peach cobbler and a blue berry cream cake. Later Martin's Mom, Wanda, his sister and her daughter, and Martin's kids Tyler and Kaylene came and we all had dinner and just hung out. When we cut the birthday cake and sang to the birthday girls you know we had to do "bite it". Of course Alecia got her face smashed in the cake by Tony and got cake up her nose. We opened Teddi's presents, a set of wrought iron ladder sconces that hold candles for behind her sofa. A smaller version for wherever. A set of Ed hardy glasses for her bar with rocks, wine glasses, and tumblers, with shot glasses. They look just like her tattoo's, I hope she liked them. Teddi fared a little better with the bite it ordeal cause Alecia said Teddi has more experience and went in side ways so she just got a smear. Both were good sports (which is a must in this family) After dinner, Teddi and I took Oli for a walk and just chilled. I was sad to see them go home as I would have liked to spend more time with Teddi on her birthday but grown ups have their own thing they have to do!

We were thrilled that my nephew Syke came down from Salt Lake for the weekend and we had a wonderful time visiting with him. Cliff and Skye really hit it off and had a good time. Skye's wife Michelle had to work so she didn't come nor did my other nephew Chancy. Chancy's great grandmother passed away in New Mexico and he went to the funeral. His great grandmother Doris was quite a lady and will be missed.

All in all it was a tiring but nice weekend. It will take me all week to get the house clean again and the beds changed for the next round of guests this next weekend. My mom and dad are coming along with lots of the family to see my sisters daughter and son who are home from missions for their church. Let the good times roll

Cool Weather

Can't believe how cool it is for this time of year. It only 68 today and suppose to be 54 and rainy tomorrow. Unreal. I guess we better enjoy it cause it will be hot soon enough. My flowers are loving it. Poor things will just get use to this then all hell will break loose with the heat.

My back is a smidgen better today hope that trend continues. I am not use to all this creaky pain and drama. And I am here to say it is bullshit! I keep doing whatever I want but it sure hurts these days. Some people are stubborn and refuse to act their age I guess!

Cliff and Leonard had a flat tire on the way home from working in Vegas .When they looked , the spare was gone on the truck so I had to drive down to about the Hidden Valley exit and rescue them. We now have a spare and new tires so I don't have to worry too much about them commuting every day. I am just thankful they have excellent jobs at the base for a little while. We keep our fingers crossed and are so thankful for things so far. With today's economy, you never can tell what's coming. Just keep keeping on I guess!!

Nice Weekend

We had a nice visit this weekend with our friends from Phoenix Mike & Jen. They drove up on Friday night and stayed the weekend. Mike used to work for Cliff and then started his own plumbing company. With the down turn in the economy he shut his company down and he and Jen moved to Phoenix. They are doing well there and seem to like it.
We went to dinner on Saturday at Gregory's for Jen 31st birthday and then played the penny slots awhile. It was fun. We went home pretty early and hit the sack, everyone was tired. The guys played video games on Sunday morning an then the Mexicans come over and had lunch. I made a nice spiral cut ham, potato salad, Texas caviar salad, hot homemade sesame seed rolls, homemade chicken and noodles and a carrot cake. Tasty. We played with the baby for awhile. Then Mike and Jen left to go back to Phoenix.

Tony had been gone for a week to southern Idaho to Vonda Woods ranch branding cows, He got home Sunday and I got a big hug from my boy. He had fun but was real homesick and was glad to get home. We sure missed him. They only sugar pies missing were my sweet Oliva & her Mama, I would have loved to see Oli's Angel face but she had Easter with her Daddy. Our other sweet girls were in CO, we did get to talk to Alecia and look forward to seeing her on Thursday. It is Cheyenne's birthday on Wed so I'm sure we will talk to her. All in all it was a nice day just wish ALL the kids could have been here.

My back is out and I have been having fits with it. I swear this is bulls%$#. I can hardly walk. I guess I better go to the chiropractor or I will be crippled HA

And We're Off to the Rodeo

Well, we went to the Rodeo and concert last night and had a fun & interesting time. When we got there we hadn't had dinner so we decided to try some Fair food. We went and surveyed all the vendors to see what looked the best. Cliff wanted a Brat & grilled onions so we found the yummy looking one and paid $18.00 for two Brats and 1 coke. After the first bite I about gagged. They were cold and tasted like sawdust, the bread was heavy and gummy. Yuck. So we threw them in the trash and went to the Rodeo laughing.

Our Rodeo tickets were great, we were at the top of the arena stands but the arena is so small that they were really great seats, right in front of the bucking shuts, plus we had something to lean up against. It was windy and as soon as the sun started to go down we about froze to death. Especially Cliff as he just had on a short sleeve tee-shirt. I had worn a denim jacket and I was still cold. We finally left during the team roping and went to the car and got his sweatshirt and sat for a minute with the heater on to warm up. Now this is mid April in So Nevada, what's up with that. Anyway we went back and enjoyed the rest of the rodeo and I DO love rodeo of any shape or description and this was a pretty good one. There was 4 world champions there and the rough stock was really good so we had fun. I was surprised that people don't seem to have as much fun as they use to. We always whopped and hollered but not so much anymore. Come on America it's rodeo kick it up a notch. Plus all the cowboys were fat and had on their stretch Wranglers, yee Gads, glad my Man can still sport his 13MWZ's 31X36 (now that's a "long tall drink of cool water")

After the rodeo we got a nice hot cup of coffee and went to the concert. Heidi Newfield is really good and just the right balance of sassy, cutie, hot rocker, and can sing her ass off. Lee Brice opened for her and did a funny song called " Upper Middle Class White Trash/ My pockets can't hold all my cash/one day I stopped to pee/got some gas and won the lottery" The music was great but once again the PEOPLE were lame. I mean this technology thing sucks. All around us were these 20 something kids and NO one was even listening to the music. They were all so busy taking pictures of themselves (what the hell is up with that) or pictures of each other or texting that they never even looked at the stage. I mean we are raising a bunch of narcissistic freaks in this country. Cliff and I decided we are definitely getting old as we still think when you pay $50.00 for a concert ticket you should actually maybe watch the concert!!!. It was funny though there was this really really fat guy in front of us, I mean about 6'4' and maybe 400 lbs with a little bitty cowboy hat perched on his fat head. He was drunk and even though he had to have 2 chairs to sit on he was still bobbing and weaving sideways so as if it wasn't hard enough to see around his fatness that made it impossible. I told Cliff "It's like being at the base of the Colorado western slope and trying to see around the mountains to get a glimpse of Denver" HA HA now that's funny I don't care who ya are!!!! SO anyway, blah, blah, blah came home, I made bacon and eggs, pigged out, got in our warm bed, and light's out.
