It seems like a year since I blogged but here I am. We have been so darn busy lately. The kids were here for a week and we had lots of fun. The Friday night before they left , we all went to Las Vegas and walked around down on Fremont Street. That is always fun. A great place to take the kids because it's free and exciting for them. It's about the only way they can experience Vegas until they are 21. There were jugglers, and musicians, show girls, freaks, and just the normal Vegas crowd (don't forget Elvis and Marilyn look alike). They had a great saxophone player we stood and listened to for awhile and then walked on down and listened to a couple bands they had playing, then watched the Fremont Street Experience show. Fun. Then Cliff, Cody, Teddi , and Marty went to see let's just say "an adult show" for about an hour and I took the girls shopping and to get a piece of pie. We all finally met back up about 10:30 and we came home.
Saturday Teddi, Olivia, and Martin came out and we took the girls and Gabbi and Tony and went out to Whitney Pockets and cooked dutch oven chicken, ham, and potatoes. Cliff and I made a peach cobbler in the dutch oven that was to die for. We took the kids hiking on the rocks and to see all the stuff the CCC workers had built in the 1930's during the Depression. We told them take a good look we may be doing this again!!! HA. It was a lot of fun. We were sorry that Cody missed it but he was still in Vegas with his friends(just like any 19 year old kid should be GOOOOOOOOOOO Cody). It was a good day and by the time we got home we were all tired out. Cody came the next day and got the girls and headed to Grand Junction. We hated to see them all go but life moves on.
This past week has been busy, trying to get the house back in order, the lawns ready for summer, laundry done, work, etc. We were wore out by Friday but Cliff said we were going to go have some fun so we went to Vegas and stayed the night with Teddi & Martin. Olivia was with Dean so we all went the the new Stoney's North Forty dance hall. What a place. It was pretty wild. They had the girls dancing on the bar like Coyote Ugly and the whole bit. It was a partying place but a little too Rock-in-Roll for us. I mean we love rock and roll but this is suppose to be a country bar. It was great for Teddi & Marty most of the people there were in their 20's but too much line dancing for us. Plus it was so packed you couldn't even dance. Especially since there was a bunch of hip hop guys that thought it was a mosh pit. Nuts. We did have fun watching all the freaks and weirdo's. We went to breakfast after and then got some shut eye. Cliff and I got up about 8:30 and Teddi and I went and got some coffee for Cliff. When we got back Cliff and Martin were playing video golf. It was pretty funny. Cliff's player was a white trash biker chick that would beat her club on the ground till she bent it when she missed a hole, it was hilarious. We got home about 1:00 and I had to hurry and get ready cause I had to sing at a birthday party at the Casablanca. When I got back we had dinner reservations at Gregory's (which was great other than they took two of our favorite things off the menu) and then we played the slots for a few minutes and went home.
Sunday we had the Mexicans over for hot wings and sliders and watched the race. It was short track at Bristol and not too exciting. Kyle Busch won, Cha is kicking all our butts lately (even though Jeff is still first in points) We lost all our bets, poo poo!!
Mom and Dad will be here today, Not sure for how long. But it will be nice to see them. I am now full tilt in getting ready for the wedding. April 18th will be here before I am ready I'm sure.
