Richard Edward Davis, age 77, passed away at his home in Garden Valley, Idaho on Thursday June 18, 2009. Ed, as he was known by his friends and family, was born on December 22, 1931 in Carey, Idaho to Shem & Josephine Gatzmeyer Davis. Dad grew up in Challis., Idaho where he learned to love the outdoors and it was here, in the American West that Daddy began his life long love affair with the cowboy lifestyle. Although we will miss him something awful we are thankful that he is at rest. Hopefully he is up on the range with his palomino horse Chinook, his old dog Oreo, warming his hands by the fire. We love you daddy,

Ed was a great man. He was instrumental in leaving wonderful marks on my favorite place, Garden Valley, restoring the old red farm house and helping make Starlight Mountain Theatre a success. God Bless!!!
