Mid Term Elections

Yeah, today all the political ads will be over. I wonder if everyone is as tired of them as I am. It's all such a joke and I would laugh if it didn't make me want to cry. The saddest part is how many people just believe what they hear or are programed to believe without ever reading or studying history to try to discern what the truth is. So here's to nothing changing except more lies and treachery.

Poor Cliff has been working 18 hrs a day the last few days an is so burnt out. I told him when he left this morning, if he doesn't recognize me when he comes in I won't feel bad if he asks my name. We are thankful to have a job that pays the bills but it sucks it has to be like this. We are in Colorado from Nevada and there are people here from all over the USA. Hopefully they won't legislate the gas and oil industry out of existence or I have no idea where we will have to go. Out of the country I guess. There are a lot of our acquaintances that have gone overseas cause they can't find work in the USA, hat a sad commentary.

I heard on the Grand Junction local news this morning that they has a DUI check point set up last night here in GJ and they had to shut it down after 1 hour because they had arrested so many people they couldn't handle the volume. Between the drunks and the crack heads this is a seamy place. Really different than any other place I have ever lived. It reminds me a little of Idaho, there is the same disconnect from reality that I sense there. I wonder if geographic areas can be less mature than others. That's the way it seems to me. It seems the more conservative or liberal an area is the less actual awareness exists for truth.

It has been very cold here in the morning (to me) but I can imagine how much worse it is gonna be. It gets real warm during the day to the point that I have to open the doors and windows or turn on the A/C. The trees have all turned and are now starting to lose their leaves. It's been awhile since I have actually experienced fall and it's very enjoyable. I would have loved to take a ride in the hills to see all the colors but with Cliff's hours it is impossible. They have something in Oct they call "Color Sunday" and that's kind of the day everyone makes their pilgrimage to the hills; kind of a cool family outing.

We leave Wednesday night to go to Mesquite and I am looking forward to it. Cliff an I both were sick to miss Halloween at home. Cliff must have said 10 times how much it "sucked" to miss dressing up and seeing the grand babies in their finery. Bet he takes it off next year!!!
