Well we took the kids to the airport last night and sent them winging back to Colorado. It was Cheyenne's first plane trip and she was a little nervous. Charlee Ann had told her it was like riding a roller coaster so she thought that would be fun. We were running late and that coupled with Las Vegas 5:00 traffic put us at the airport just a little later than we would have liked. I dropped Cliff and the kids off at Departing Flights and then went to park. They made it to security pretty fast because they were waiting for me at the entrance to the D gates when I got there.
It was actually better that we were running late because it gave us less time for tearful goodbyes. Traci was fine, just excited to get off to college, but poor Cheyenne cried all the way through security. The poor little thing howls and cries when she has to leave her mother and then repeats it at the end of the summer when she leaves us. It's a hard situation for a little one. Hopefully it will get easier as she gets older. In the end she did fine. Traci said she liked the flight and had fun looking our the window. Now they are all safely deposited back in Colorado and it's back to just us.
We were both tired when we got back home, poor Cliff had had two trips to Vegas yesterday. I made some of my diet soup for dinner and we had that about 8:00. We were in bed watching Diners, Drive In's and Dives on the Food Channel about 10:00 and Cliff decided he was starving and got up and had peanut butter and jelly with a big glass of milk. I was proud of myself cause I didn't even really want any and that's my favorite bed time snack. I told Cliff the only thing I have really craved on this diet is a bowl of beans. He just laughed and said maybe you just need to let a big "Ripper". Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I wonder if that would burn any calories???????
