I went to Las Vegas on Friday afternoon and spent the weekend with Teddi and the kids. Donnie had to go to California to have some dental work done and she didn't have a sitter for Saturday while she worked so I went and took care of the kids.
We had so much fun and I just loved spending time with both kids but especially Little Harlee Hoo. I hadn't really gotten to know her and established that bond with her and I was able to do that over the weekend. She is such a good baby and so sweet. She would just try her best to focus on me and just smile. What can be greater than a baby's smile? All these politicians in the world should be forced to do their business while holding a sweet baby and the world would be a better place.
Sunday we went to Teddi's church in the morning (which I really enjoyed. It's kind of an alternative Christian church and if I were going to go to church, it might be that one) after that we had breakfast and then went looking for wedding chapels for her wedding. They are planning a Rock-a-billy style 50's theme wedding and it is gonna be a lot of fun. We found a chapel she liked and they do an Elvis themed wedding and Elvis signs 3 songs and conducts the ceremony. It should be a blast! Anyway in one chapel Oliva said, "Grandma will you marry me?" So I said yes and we walked down the isle and Teddi held Harlee Hoo up at the podium and did the dearly beloved thing. It was so funny and Olivia and I had so much fun. Then we had to go out and stand in the plastic gazebo with the fake roses. It was a BLAST. Oliva is the funnest kid. Anyway after our sojourn down into the Naked City we went to dinner at a real barbecue place and then back to Teddi's and I came on home. I hated to leave but had a bunch of stuff to do to get ready for my surgery. I sure missed those kids when I got home and was glad I had my Gabby and Tony out here to get kisses from.
This is a picture of Harlee "marrying" Olivia and I
