Our beautiful Lindy Jai was killed in a car accident on May 19, 2010. She was my brother Ed's & his wife Jan's oldest child. Lindy was 23 years old and such a wonderful daughter and mother. She leaves her husband Kyler and 3 small children behind. I have so many memories of Lindy from the time she was a small child, so tiny and delicate, and then to grow into such a strong, beautiful woman who knew her own mind and didn't take crap from anyone. She was so close to her Dad and took such good care of him every summer during theatre season. I was always so proud of her. She was also a wonderful actress with so much life and pizazz and brought so much to her roles.
I remember we were doing "Oklahoma" at the Nampa Civic Center and she was playing the role of Laurey. I had costumed the show and one of her costumes had a hat. When Lindy came out on stage she didn't have her hat on, so when she came off stage I reminded her of her hat and she said. "Aunt Debbie, I' m not wearing that hat!" I said, "Lindy, I am the costumer and I said you'll wear the hat, and you better have it on your head when you go back out on stage." She looked me directly in the eye and said, "I don't care who you are, I am not wearing that dann hat". And she didn't. I loved it. She had so much spunk and I was always proud of her for that, I think it reminded me of me. Not when I was her age, I would have never had her courage, but when I got older and braver.
We will truly miss you Lullabelle. I really don't know what your family will do without your strength of spirit. My heart goes out to Kyler and the kids and I ask that God gives them strength . I love you very much little sister, God Speed!
