Homecoming in Colorado

Here is a photo of our Alecia all dolled up to go to the Homecoming Dance with her date Nate. She is so beautiful inside and out. From all reports they had a good time and danced almost every dance. Now that's my kind of guy. In Larry McMurtery's book " Duane's Depressed" there is a line spoken by the character Carla where she is talking about her girl friend and Carla says, "She's so damn dumb she married a man who couldn't dance." My sentiments exactly!!!

We had a nice weekend and I got to see all my babies. We had Gordy and Tony on Friday night. The boys went bowling and Cha was at her eye conference in Vegas, so Tony and I hung out and played with the Gordy Cheese. She was so sweet. I had on my robe and was playing with her sitting on my lap. My robe came open a little and she could see the top of my incision. She looked at it for a long time, she even pulled my robe open a little more to see it all, then she looked up at me and her eyes got so soft and she leaned over and kissed my ouhie and then laid her head on my chest to give me the biggest love. It was the cutest thing ever. She is so sweet.

Then Sunday, Marty and Teddi came out with Olivia and stayed the night. I had so much fun watching Cinderella over and over and over and over with Olivia while she explained everything they were doing to me. So cute. Then Monday morning we got sticks and marched around the yard where I had her bend down on one knee and I knighted her, Queen Oli. When she left. she was half way to the car , and she turned in the middle of the street and said " Goodbye Queen Mima, I love you!" I said , "Goodbye Queen Oli, I love you to!" Now that's livin my friends.

Our friends Keith and Karen are coming out from Paducah, Ky this weekend. They are actually going to the Grand Canyon so we are going to drive over to Kanab, Ut on Thursday and meet them for dinner and then stay the night. The next morning they will head into the park and we will head home. It will be nice to see them. Cliff and Keith worked together for about a year and then Keith was diagnosed with cancer. He has had 3 bouts with it over the last 3 years but is cancer free right now. It will be so nice to see them. It is beautiful in that part of Utah and will be nice and cool so I am looking forward to it. Pictures to follow
